Technology Training and Services

The mission of the Sea of Dreams is to promote self-determination and community empowerment through technology and Assistive Technology (A.T.), by:

1. Bringing to communities the vision and opportunity to support people to explore technologies for learning, recreation, career and community living, including children, youth and adults with and without disabilities

2. Preparing people to become independant learners

3. Promoting career exploration and choice, especially in Technology

4. Consultation on A.T. Equipment

5. Equipment instruction: Digital video and still cameras; CD Rom burners; etc.

6. Software instruction for individuals with and without disabilities

7. Wireless satellite internet hookup with 25 iBooks for group workshops on technology and telecommunications

8. DVD iMacs with digital cameras for movie software workshops for production of "broadcast quality" videos, and interactive, multimedia books and portfolios

9. Creation of websites that meet the accessibility standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act

10. Radio broadcasts and web broadcasts
